Founder and Violinist Kaycee Parker

Kaycee Parker, of Las Vegas, Nevada began her violin studies at age 7 with Mary Straub at the Nevada School of the Arts. Upon graduating high school from the Las Vegas Academy of the Performing Arts, she was awarded a full scholarship at the College of Music at University of Colorado at Boulder, studying performance and Suzuki pedagogy with Dr. William Starr and Dr. Jennifer John. She was a member of the Boulder Philharmonic, Opera Colorado and the Sinfonia of Colorado for several years. In 2001 Kaycee became a member of the Grammy award-winning Albany Symphony Orchestra and went on to perform and record with some of the world’s finest musicians, conductors and contemporary composers.  She has shared the stage with such virtuosos as Yo-Yo Ma, James Gallaway, Itzhak Perlman, Sarah Chang, Hilary Hahn, Peter Donahoe, and Scott Yoo. She is frequently heard playing with Hawaii Symphony Orchestra and Kamuela Symphony Orchestra.  As founder of Strings of Hawaii ensembles on Kauai, she is now focused on chamber music and enjoying the slower pace of island life while raising three beautiful daughters.

Kaycee offers a range of string ensembles to fit your specific needs.  Solo violin is the perfect choice for a simple wedding on the beach, while a larger group in an outdoor location could be  well-entertained by the full tone of our string quartet.

Solo- solo violin lends an atmosphere of the serenade to your event and is a lovely choice for any occasion, from the intimate beach wedding to a more sizable event.  For beach weddings, solo violin is preferred for the simplicity and ease of setting up with no chairs necessary.

Quartet- four musicians playing 2 violins, viola and cello.  Appropriate for any occasion, as the full harmonic sound of the quartet will fill a hall yet still be intimate enough for a wedding or private house concert.

String trio and violin duo also available with repertoire limited to classical only.
